Diego Nuñez

Saxophone player Diego Núñez was born in Santa Fe, Argentina in 1975. His academic background includes career at the National University of Litoral (Argentina) as a National Saxophone Teacher, awarded with Medal of Honor to the best student. (26) He has majored in classical saxophone with María Noel Luzardo, during five years, and Arno Bornkamp. Mr. Núñez also has taken active part of master classes by outstanding maestros as Miguel Villafruela, Dale Underwood, Eugene Rousseau, Claude Delangle and Jean-Marie Londeix. In Chamber Music, he has been studying under guide of Mónica Cosachov. Since 1998, Mr. Núñez has given many concerts, as a soloist and a member of chamber music groups all over Argentina. (21) He has been awarded with First Prize in several Competitions: Mozarteum of Santa Fe (Chamber Music-1996), Youth Art Biennial (National University of Litoral- 1998), Mozarteum of Santa Fe and Mozarteum of Uruguay (Soloist-1999), Buenos Aires International Musical Competition (Soloist-2002), VII Youth Biennial of Festivales Musicales de Buenos Aires (chamber music-2003). Since 1999, Mr. Núñez is Teacher of Saxophone in Conservatory of Santa Fe City and Gálvez City. He also is a frequent guest lecturer and teacher of saxophone in several Conservatories and Universities of Argentina.
