Yui Hakozaki

Born in Ibaraki Prefecture in Japan, Yui Hakozaki graduated from the Tokyo College of Music. She won First Prize at the 30th Japan Wind and Percussion Competition, also receiving the Special Grand Prize, the Prime Minister’s Award, the Governor of Tokyo Award, and the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award. She appeared as a soloist with the Tokyo New City Orchestra.

In October 2015, she moved to Germany and spent one year furthering her studies at the Hamburg Conservatory of Music. In 2024, she received the Arts Creation Award from the Nagoya Cultural Promotion Agency.

After completing the NHK Symphony Orchestra’s “N Symphony Academy,” she served as Principal Clarinetist of the Central Aichi Symphony Orchestra from 2012 to 2024.

Currently, she is the Representative Director of Zenryoku Company Co., Ltd., a part-time lecturer at Kinjo Gakuin University and Kikuzato High School, and an endorsed instructor for Buffet Crampon. Her first album, Resonance, is now on sale to critical acclaim.
