Herson Amorim

He has a Doctor’s degree in Music, from Campinas State University; a Master’s degree in Arts, from Federal University of Pará and a Bachelor’s degree in Clarinet, from State University of Pará, where he studied with Oleg Andryeyev and Joel Barbosa, clarinetist Herson Amorim began his music studies in 1999 and got in at the Carlos Gomes Conservartory where he studied with Marcos Cohen and Jacob Cantão.

He has participated in different music festivals in Brazil and abroad: in Fortaleza, Brasília, Jaraguá do Sul, Campos do Jordão, Poços de Caldas, Tatuí, Mendoza (Argentina), Wrocław (Poland) and Ostend (Belgium). He took courses in the XVII Eleazar de Carvalho Festival and at the Chile University. He has performed in Chile, Portugal, Poland and Belgium.

He was a professor at the Carlos Gomes Conservatory (Belém – Pará) and the first soloist clarinetist at the Symphonyc Orchestra of the Theater of Peace, from 2004 to 2010. Nowadays, he is a Clarinet Professor at the Music School of the Federal University of Pará.

He created a Clarinet Channel, that has more than fourteen thousand followers in YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. Also, he has his project canaldoclarinete.com, which is a long distance teaching clarinet platform, with live recording courses, that has a big clarinetists community that don’t have acces to a teacher.
